12:00hrs: The team were contacted by the Yorkshire Ambulance Service Control Room and asked to assist with the rescue of 2 persons who had slipped and sustained lower leg injuries while out walking. They had fallen in an area familiar to the team close to Middleham Castle, by the river. The team called on additional support from Upper Wharfedale Fell Rescue Association, due to commitments in the Reeth area. Working closley with our local Paramedic the casualty was packaged and taken off the fell to a waiting road ambulance.
