A team member was contacted by a local in the Hurst area, who informed him that their cat has climbed a nearby fir tree. The owner had tried to climb to the cat but as they did so that went higher up the tree.
A call to the police to get and incident number and a small team were assembled to rescue the cat. The cat was out of ladder reach so team members with appropriate climbing equipment set off up the tree. As a team member approached the cat, it again climbed higher before self-rescuing with a leap through the branches and off into the farmhouse. All were safe and well.
