The team were contacted by our neighbouring team, Upper Wharfedale Fell Rescue Association (UWFRA) and asked of we could support an ongoing rescue in Howstean Gorge. There was a requirement for Specialist Water Rescue Technicians as the casualty had been part of a canyoning group and sustained a injury in the water.
Due to road closures on the high road between Masham and Nidderdale, team members had to take a lengthy diversion and were stood down on route.
