While attending the Emergency Services show in Richmond. It became clear that there was a developing situation near Keld involving a male who had fallen and sustained a lower leg injury. Due to the proximity to the river Fire and Rescue sent specialist water assets and the team where then requested via the Police control room. At the same time a request was also received via the Ambulance control room.

Local team members were quickly on scene and working with local fire crews they located the casualty who was not in the water.

The location of the casualty required a specialist technical rescue system to be implemented in order to recover the casualty up steep ground to the path above.
Once on the path the casualty was taken on a Titan stretcher to Keld for transfer to a waiting ambulance.
