20:17hrs: The team were contacted by the North Yorkshire Police control room and aksed to deploy in support of the Fire and Rescue services with the rescue of a person close to the river in Richmond.
The team were quickly on scene and supported North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue crews from; Colburn, Richmond, Ripon and Selby. A yound man had taken a fall down steep ground onto the river bank opposite the staion in Richmond. Water rescue personnel secured the cas and established a boat teather for the extraction.
The team prepared a landing site for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance, who flew the casualty to hospital.
