03:48hrs The team were contacted by Yokshire Ambulance Service control and asked to assit with the recovery of a patient and crew that had become stuck on a steep isolated road, above Bainbridge. 3 team vehicles were dispatched to support the extraction of the casualty and crew. Will preparing vehicles in Bainbridge, the Fire and Rescue Service had managed to access the ambulance and tow it back onto the road. It was then able to make its way to the main Hawes – Leyburn road for its onward journey to hospital.
