14:30hrs The team were contacted by North Yorkshire Police Control and asked to assist with the search for an overdue walker. The partner of an expereicned walker had called to say that he was overdue and hand not been in contact. Walking a strtetch of the Pennine Way, the last known location was believedf to be in the Tan Hill area, where he was planning to camp out. As the teams search planners started to formulate a search strategy, a ‘phonefind’ message was passed and recieved by the mispers phone. There was then confirmation from the walkers partner that they had been in touch and was on his way home. The team were stood down.
