15:32hrs The team were contacted by the Yorkshire Ambulance Service control room and asked to support the rescue of a walker who had sustained an upper leg injury. While out for a walk with family, the lady had slipped and had a suspected break of the upper leg bone. Ambulance staff were already on scene when the team arrived. We used a specialist Vacuum mattress, and lightweight titanium stretcher to transport the casualty to the waiting ambulance.
