The team were contacted by Yorkshire Ambulance Services and asked to assist with the rescue of a walker who had fallen and sustained a lower leg injury. The walker had fallen on a footbath through fields below Gunnerside, close to the River Swale. On calling the team out several tram members were able to deploy from their backdoor steps down to the cas site. The casualty was packages and transferred to a waiting ambulance at the road head. 13 team members were involved in the rescue.
