The team were contacted by the Yorkshire Ambulance Service control room and asked to assist with the rescue of a walker who had slipped and sustained a lower leg injury. This was the second call to Hackfall Woods within the month. Due to the location and team members available, a request went out to our neighbours in Upper Wharfedale and Raf Leeming. The casualty was quickly located, and medical treatment started. On the arrival of the Ambulance Crew and a rapid response paramedic, they were taken to site and with the assistance from Wharfedale and RAF Leeming the casualty was transported on a specialist stretcher to the awaiting road ambulance.
