The team were contacted by Yorkshire Ambulance Service Control Room and asked to assist with the rescue of a person in the Castle Bolton area. A person had taken a fall and sustained a leg injury on the ramparts of Castle Bolton. Ambulance and Fire Service crews attended the scene, and it became clear that the extraction of the casualty may require a technical rope solution. The team were mobilised, and a member of the leader group deployed direct to scene. While travelling, the castle was able to open a portcullis which allowed for a simpler extraction and as such the team were stood down.
