The second callout of the day saw the team contacted by one of our other neighbouring teams Upper Wharfedale Fell Rescue Association (UWFRA) and asked to assist with the rescue of a male walker who had sustained a leg injury while walking with his family on Buckden Pike. Due to the location of the casualty site and conditions on the hill additional support was requested for the carryout. Team members were soon on scene and working seamlessly with UWFRA the casualty’s family were safely escorted off the hill and the casualty recovered to the car park for transfer to hospital.
